MEC has announced the launch of its specialist content division, Wavemaker, in Turkey. The announcement was made by MEC Managing Directors Hande Bursalıoğlu Beceren and Serdar Aytok, Turkey’s Head of Wavemaker Serhat Demir and Managing Director of Wavemaker EMEA, Jeremy Clark.
Wavemaker consolidates MEC’s content strategy, social, partnerships and experiential, organic search and creative services expertise into one unit. By simplifying what can be a complicated process for clients, this new offer is designed to create content that measurably improves a brand’s performance.
The launch in Turkey marks the 21st market launch of MEC’s Wavemaker offering.
Jeremy Clark said: “With Wavemaker we focus on identifying precisely what consumer behaviour needs to change along the purchase journey and create content that can specifically make that change happen. Our approach is data-driven, strategic and designed to get the right content to all the right places at the right time: where it will have most impact and be most effective. This is an exciting time to be launching in Turkey and to be able to offer the same proposition for all our clients there.”
Serhat Demir added: “To survive in today’s continually changing media world, when consumers’ attention spans are shorter than ever, it’s important to create effective, sustainable and measurable content. Wavemaker’s launch in Turkey will see us deliver different kinds of content solutions for our partners, ones that will deliver both value and impact to their brand’s.”
Wavemaker made its global debut in April 2016 and has launched in Australia, China, Germany, India, Italy, Mexico, The Middle East, Poland, Singapore, Spain, The Netherlands, UK, USA – and now Turkey, among others.
